1. Agreement

By using Veylum's services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services, or reach out to us to find a common ground.

2. Services

Veylum provides private tutoring sessions matched to individual student needs. Sessions are delivered in-person or remotely on a case-by-case basis. All tutors are independently contracted.

3. Booking & Payment

Sessions are confirmed upon receipt of payment. Rates are communicated at the time of matching and may vary by tutor, subject, and format.

4. Cancellations

Cancellations made with more than 24 hours' notice will be fully refunded or rescheduled. Cancellations within 24 hours may incur a cancellation fee that varies by cancellation time.

5. Conduct

Both students and tutors are expected to engage respectfully. Veylum reserves the right to terminate services where conduct standards are not upheld, with no refunds provided.

6. Limitation of Liability

Veylum is not liable for outcomes beyond our reasonable control. We provide high-quality tutoring support; ultimate results depend on student effort and ability. We are not liable if the student deliberately neglects all efforts to improve.

Session Cancellations

Full refunds are issued for sessions cancelled with more than 24 hours' notice. Sessions cancelled within 24 hours may incur a variable cancellation fee depending on the cancellation time, but no less than 50%.

No-Shows

Sessions missed without notice will not be refunded, except in cases of an emergency. Please contact us if an emergency arose, we consider each case individually.

Tutor Cancellations

In the event a tutor cancels, you will receive a full refund or a complimentary rescheduled session at no extra cost.

Disputes

If you are unsatisfied with a session, please contact us within 48 hours. We will review and work toward a fair resolution.

Process

Approved refunds are processed within 1-30 business days via the original payment method.

Tutor Vetting

All tutors undergo vetting, including identity verification and professional background review. Enhanced checks apply for tutors working with minors.

Session Standards

Remote sessions are conducted via video platforms. For in-person sessions involving minors, a parent or guardian can be present or nearby if they wish to attend.

Reporting Concerns

If you have any concerns about the safety or welfare of a student, please contact us immediately. We will act promptly and seriously.

Data Protection for Minors

We apply additional care when processing data relating to minors. Parental or guardian consent is required for students under 18.
